Saint Luis Rey Cuban Cigars

Saint Luis Rey Cuban Cigars

Created in 1940 and widely accepted to be named after the famous novel
"The Bridge of San Luis Rey" by Thorton Wilder written in 1927.
The United Kingdom
had exclusivity with this brand until 1993 when
the contract was lost and
distribution began worldwide.
Medium bodied aromatic cigar with unique
"bean flavours" such as
cocoa, coffee, and vanilla beans.

Saint Luis Rey was founded just before the Second World War.
Some say that its name was taken from a Thornton Wilder play
“The Bridge of San Luis Rey”, which was popular at the time.
However it is more likely that it refers to the town of San Luis in the heart of the Vuelta Abajo
tobacco region, which is particularly famous for the superb wrapper leaves produced there.

Whatever the truth may be Saint Luis Rey cigars enjoy a reputation among cigars lovers for the
intensity of their flavour throughout the range. They are made with leaves from the Vuelta Abajo
and Semi Vuelta regions.

All sizes are "Totalmente a mano, tripa larga" - totally hand made long filler.
