Introduced to North American smokers by the famed General Cigar Company in 1971 and perfected by master roller Ramon Cifuentes shortly after, the Macanudo is now one of the most popular Dominican brands in the world. Currently found in 5 different series - and most of which are hand rolled - the Macanudo is a great mild smoke for beginners, and a great introduction to Dominican cigars for anyone.
Available in both Natural and Maduro wrappers and in both Limited Edition and standard series, the Macanudos combine Dominican and Jamaican filler with a Connecticut shade wrapper for a smooth, easy smoke. The Macanudo brand has enjoyed particular popularity in the United States, where there is a hungry market for Dominican cigars in general.
